My parents still hit me. I’m a high-schooler now, and my dad still uses a belt to whip me. I’ll show up to school with bruises sometimes, and it’s embarrassing and awkward when people ask me about it. I’m too scared to talk to anyone about it.

Physical abuse is not an issue that should be taken lightly.   You should tell a trusted adult, such as a school counselor, teacher or another family member right away.  It is not easy to talk about personal family issues with other people, but seeking help is the best way to change the situation.
