There are many different types of birth control, and each works differently for different people.  Your doctor can help you choose which type may be best for you.  When talking to your parents about birth control, have an honest and open conversation with them explaining your reasons.   It may be a little awkward at first, but open communication with your parents can help clear any misunderstandings and maintain a positive relationship with your parents.
