A panic attack can happen without any warning. You may feel intense fear and anxiety for no reason. To calm yourself down, take a slow deep breath, hold for 2-3 seconds and breathe out slowly. You can also call someone that you know who cares and will listen to you. Remember that panic attacks are treatable conditions. If you experience these symptoms frequently, ask your doctor to refer you to see a therapist who can help you overcome the problem.
